See Water
See Water is the love child of reggae and punk rock. This up-and-coming band from Charleston, SC will take your ears on a roller-coaster ride through laid-back jams and hard-hitting rock riffs. Their style is similar to that of a mosh-pit on the beach at sunset. If their music was a cocktail, it would be a long island iced tea; at first you think, “There’s no way you can mix all of that together,” but sure enough, you take a sip only to find that it’s delicious and intoxicating.
See Water has been proving themselves in all their unorthodox glory at The Music Farm and Charleston Pour House, and venues throughout the east coast and the USVI, while performing alongside acts such as Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime, The Hip Abduction, Fear Nuttin Band, and Sun-Dried Vibes. See Water has released their debut EP, entitled 'Diluted Acoustica', and quickly began work on their next project. Their first full-length album 'Hit The Moon' is to be released later this fall with the first single, 'Echo', leading the way.
"When you see a body of water, whether it's calm or violent, it makes you feel something, and that's what we're here to do."
Little Bird
Little Bird, hailing from Annapolis, MD and calling Charleston, SC home for one year now, tours throughout the eastern half of the country. They blend surf rock, jazz, and Americana into a high energy killer live show. In 2015 & 2016 the band played & headlined festivals such as Bayfunk, Pink Moon, Silopanna, Doah, EastPortaRockin' and more. Along with sharing stage on show bills with names like G. Love & Special Sauce, Pressing Strings, Long Miles, Fortunate Youth, and many more.
JOIN US FOR A TWO-NIGHT SHOW WITH GREG HUMPHREYS ELECTRIC TRIO AT THE COMMODORE.
Dillon Fence and Hobex frontman and singer-songwriter solo artist Greg Humphreys steps away from his trusty acoustic for the Greg Humphreys Electric Trio 2016 debut, ”Lucky Guy”.
The album finds the critically acclaimed artist creatively invigorated. His accomplished and artistically intuitive bandmates simmer through a collection of sweetly soulful Americana and raucous roots rock that showcases Humphreys' elegant virtuosity and his heartfelt songwriting. The three-piece will be sharing this intimate and infectious new album on tour this summer.
Music fans are familiar with Humphreys’ songs, voice and guitar from his years leading North Carolina faves Dillon Fence and Hobex. With songs influenced by the best in pop, funk, soul, R&B, and rock n' roll, you might find Greg Humphreys Electric Trio in the same idiosyncratic corner of the big Americana tent where you'd find Alabama Shakes, Chris Stapleton, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, or the North Mississippi Allstars.
The Electric Trio formed in 2014 in New York City. Drummer Keith Robinson brings Texas flavor, having toured and recorded with Marcia Ball and Charlie Robison. In demand bassist Matt Brandau has backed up Elvis Costello and Joan Osborne, among others. These seasoned southern transplants played over 130 live dates in their first two years, but they took their time to make a debut studio album.
Of the album Humphreys reveals: "The Lucky Guy LP tells a story of a happy time in my life - I met an amazing woman, moved to NYC, had a son, and got married. This album is also a manifestation of our trio's musical relationship." Select highlights from the eight-song release include the slow-burn R&B track "Crosstown," the burly blues-rock instrumental "Golden Bone," and the sunshine-filled title track, "Lucky Guy."

The recent heavy rains experienced in the Charleston area have water-logged the grounds of Riverfront Park. With more rain in the forecast over the course of the next few days, conditions are likely to worsen. Thus, we will be unable to safely and expediently build the festival site as planned. With this in mind, Chucktown Ball is being moved to the North Charleston Coliseum. We take our fans' safety very seriously and want to provide you with the best experience possible. All previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new venue and all bands will still perform as planned, with the exception of Dangermuffin, who are no longer available to participate. We intend to take the vision of Chucktown Ball and deliver an amazing experience alongside the accommodating staff of the the North Charleston Coliseum, who are thrilled to now be hosting our event. We hope you are ready for some arena rock!
If you purchased an umVIP package, all package amenities will still be delivered as planned. Stay tuned for some correspondence from our umVIP team on updated details.
Chucktown Ball will contribute a portion of proceeds to the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, to aide in the incredible work they do for South Carolina families.

After 8 years together, DEPARTURE has become the most respected Journey tribute band in the nation. DEPARTURE replicates the look, sound and feel of the original 80’s rock super group. The five band members are from the original line-up and have been together from the very beginning. These veteran musicians have developed an amazing on-stage chemistry and pride themselves on giving their audience an incredible high-energy, qualitative stage show from start to finish. Featured lead vocalist, Brian Williams, has an amazing singing voice flawlessly matching Steve Perry’s vocal range and on-stage movements, exactly. DEPARTURE also highlights the early Journey years, when Gregg Rolie was lead singer, featuring Joel ...Hayes on keys and lead vocals. In 2009, Joel was named “Best Keyboardist in Atlanta” for his work representing Jonathan Cain and Gregg Rolie.
DEPARTURE plays all the hit songs that everyone knows and loves. They perform for 2 hours straight without taking a break to give their audience the true concert experience. Their performance is professional and highly engaging for their audience. Everything heard during their performance is live with no pre-recorded tracks used.
DEPARTURE was voted “Best Local Entertainer” for 2011, 2012 and 2014 by Gwinnett Magazine. Performing approximately one-hundred shows annually, DEPARTURE brings the very best of Journey to audiences of all ages.
As Rockin' The River winds down, come out and join us for the second to last show with Ellen Drive & Jump Castle Riot! You will not want to miss out on this spectacular night on the banks of the Cooper River at Riverfront Park.
Their name says it all: The Dave Matthews Tribute Band. Many go to their live shows with reservations, high expectations, and the burning question, "Do these guys sound like the real Dave Matthews Band?" Almost always the answer is, "Yes!"
As Rick Grant of Entertaining U in Jacksonville, FL wrote, "The Dave Matthews Tribute Band turned out to exceed its billing as a quality improvisational band that uses Dave Matthews material as themes to improvise. Clearly, this distinguishes them from the other so-called tribute bands. The band is exceptionally tight and produces a solid groove over which the players improvise with hot chops."
Hailing from Chattanooga, TN, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band is the only nationally touring tribute to the Dave Matthews Band. This 6-piece ensemble strives to pay homage to their famous counterparts by matching the excitement, energy, intensity and intimacy of a DMB live show.
"We have so much respect for DMB and what they've been able to accomplish," says lead singer Ryan Clifford. "As fans, we love getting together with others to celebrate and give tribute to DMB and their music."
The Dave Matthews Tribute Band has worked hard to bring musical expertise and an energetic stage presence to remake and provide fans with a true 'DMB experience'. "The whole basis of the band is to put on a musical play," says Clifford. "We try to recreate the experience you may get from the real band."
While most fans never experienced a live DMB show before they became the platinum-selling artists they are today, the Dave Matthews Tribute Band prides itself on giving audiences this opportunity at intimate venues across the country.
Beyond mastering the DMB sound and the relentless touring, what separates the Dave Matthews Tribute Band from other cover bands is their passion, love, and respect for DMB and their music. That is what makes you come out of one of their shows saying, "Yeah, they really do sound like the real Dave Matthews Band."

The Dubplates are a traditional reggae riddim band. A traditional riddim band plays behind several artists a night. That means knowing all the classic and popular instrumental versions. In this case The Dubplates back Papa Robbie, Daddy Brady, Big Hair, Shawn Legree, Rudiments and King Sing.
We’ve played for Sir Richard Branson on his own Neckar Island. We’ve played in Kingston. We’ve performed and recorded with artists from King Yellowman to Damian Marley to Mixmaster Mike of the Beastie Boys.
We’ve sold bars out of liquor. We’ve sold bars out of business. Our equipment has been loaded into a container ships, unpacked on tropical docks and shipped back again. We’ve been threatened with deportation. We’ve been threatened with fame.
Our guitars have seen so much sweat that we’ve learned a regimen of rust-proofing our strings. Our dance-floors have started marriages and conceived children. In one case in South Carolina our dance-floor actually cracked in half. No matter what happens our job is the same. Force people to feel the love and happiness that lives in Reggae music. The dancehall is like Church to us and we love it bad. We’re stringing up another show soon and we want you there.
